What we inspect, how we keep reorders consistent, and what we will and will not claim about our products.
Every order is made against a reference sample you approved. We check dimensions, glaze, rims, feet and decoration at each stage, and reorders are compared with the same retained reference.
What we check
Seven checkpoints between clay and carton.

The reference sample system
When you approve a sample, we label it with your order, glaze code and date, and keep it. Production is compared with it batch by batch. When you reorder in a year, your new pieces are compared with the same piece — not with someone's memory of it.
Handmade variation, agreed in advance
Small differences in glaze tone, speckle and size are part of handmade ceramics. We describe each glaze's variation in the glaze library and agree an acceptable range with you at sampling, so there are no surprises on delivery.
Claims we only make when verified
Microwave, dishwasher, oven and food-contact suitability depend on each product's body, glaze and decoration. We state them on a product's spec sheet only where they have been verified for that SKU, and share supporting test information on request. If you need a property for your use, tell us before sampling.
If something arrives broken
Photograph the carton and the damaged pieces when they arrive and send them to us within 48 hours. We arrange replacements as set out in your order terms.
